Self-Employed EP
Singapore Self-Employed EP refers to a programme where applicants register a Singapore company and serve as a shareholder, director, or senior management, then apply to the Singapore Ministry of Manpower for an Employment Pass (EP) or EntrePass. This programme allows applicants to independently operate a business in Singapore and contribute to the local economy.
Applicants must meet certain criteria, including possessing relevant professional skills and experience, registering a company in Singapore, and being responsible for the company's operations and development. Once applicants obtain an EP, they can legally work and reside in Singapore. When the company's operations reach a certain scale and meet the requirements, applicants can submit a Permanent Resident (PR) application to the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA). Applicants and their families can convert from EP to PR status. This immigration pathway typically requires applicants to have certain financial and entrepreneurial capabilities, and to invest or establish a business locally to contribute to economic development.
