Family Office (FO)
Singapore's Family Office programme is an investment scheme providing wealth management and family office services for high-net-worth families. This programme is typically divided into two types: Single Family Office (SFO) and Multi-Family Office (MFO). In a Single Family Office setup, a high-net-worth family establishes a holding company that owns 100% of the family office shares and is responsible for managing the family's assets. Family members can obtain Singapore's Employment Pass (EP) by holding senior management positions in the family office, with the opportunity to apply for Singapore Permanent Resident (PR) status. The Family Office programme requires families to establish an asset management fund in Singapore and ensure the fund size meets certain standards to obtain approval from the relevant authorities. Additionally, applicants must comply with the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) regulations and operate according to the prescribed investment strategies.
